TV Film SITREP

(25 Sep 08) Calico is currently in talks with another production company that is interested in a BRIXMIS story joint-venture.  The company has an established reputation within BBC ‘factual’, having produced two series of ‘Wainwright’s Walks’ and ‘Coast’.  The BRIXMIS story dovetails with their aim to extend their output beyond ‘travel’ documentaries.  A final decision on this venture is expected in late September.

Wildpark Mission Accomodation

(25 Sep 08)  The Secretary has received an email from Burghard Moerke, of ‘Pipo-Pipolina’, who currently inhabits the ex-CSM’s house in Geschwister-Scholl Strasse, Wildpark, visited by the tours last year, and recently again by Ted Moore’s group. He has appealed for any photographs that members may have of his home when it was occupied by the Mission. Also of the ‘water basin’ near to the house.  His email and full address can be obtained from The Secretary.

Minutes of the 24th AGM of the BRIXMIS Association

[6 Dec 08] These are now available in PRA.

   Contacting Lost Members

Whilst the membership of the Association is quite healthy, we have lost contact with quite a few of our members.  A list of them can be viewed here

Committee members are contacting various Regimental Associations and records offices to try and locate  individuals, but if you are able to provide contact details for anyone on the list The Secretary would be glad to hear from you.

   Course Photographs

The Association holds a copy of every course photograph since No.3 Int (SD) Course in September 1973. If you would like a copy of your course photograph please let The Secretary know, and a scanned copy will be forwarded to you by e-mail.

The BRIXMIS E-Newsletter & Contact System

E-Newsletter members are notified of the newsletter by e-mail and can download it from the web site  This saves the Association significant postage costs.  Please ensure that we have your correct e-mail address and inform The Secretary of any changes.

As e-mail addresses are prone to change more often than postal addresses, it is important that we also have your full address as a backup.
